Description:

The RIDB API (http://usda.github.io/RIDB/ ) is provided for the purpose of providing information about federal recreation areas, facilities, campsites, tours, and permits. RIDB (https://ridb.recreation.gov/ ) is a part of the Recreation One Stop (Rec1Stop) project. Rec1Stop provides a user-friendly, web-based resource to citizens, offering a single point of access to information about recreational opportunities nationwide. RIDB represents an authoritative source of information and services for millions of visitors to federal lands, historic sites, museums, and other attractions/resources.
Registration is free but required.

The RIDB API is a REST based web service. Requests are of the following form:
https://ridb.recreation.gov/api/v1/Endpoint?parms
Where:
Endpoint => That part of the URL which is specific to the RIDB content being requested
parms => URL parameters used to provide additional information to the endpoint
