About

The Threatened and Endangered Species Field Guide provides the ability to use keywords, search phrases and status to search for and display information about threatened and endangered species.

Keyword:	The keyword (or search phrase) that will be used to perform the search. Keywords/Search phrases may be the full or partial common name (i.e. whale) or scientific name (i.e. "Balaenoptera physalus"). Search phrases must be enclosed within a pair of matching double quotes. Multiple keywords and/or search phrases may be used in any combination.
Status:	The biological status of the species along with the number of species that have that status (Note: some species are counted multiple times because their status can change depending upon where they are found). Multiple selections allowed. See Biological Status Definitions

Tip
When the Range map is displayed, colors will be used to identify the seasonal range of the species.

	Year Round: Species occupies area throughout year
	Summer: Species occupies area during breeding season
	Winter: Species occupies area during non-breeding season
	Migratory: Species traveling through this area at regular times of year
